This difference IPv4 and IPv6 on Computer Network

For those of you who study Computer Networking, certainly familiar with the name of the IP Address. IP address, the numbering on a computer as identification. If in simplifying, are like a name from the address of the house. So each host (computer) has an address numbering each - each are not the same.

IP addresses are often used in using the base TCP / IP because it is simpler and easier to understand. While at OSI Layer itself has its own IP Address, which is of course different from the TCP / IP. But in this world is more commonly known and used IP Address TCP / IP.

IP addresses are divided into two differences. IP Address Private and Public IP address. Private IP Address normally be obtained by home users or small-scale users. Private IP Address is obtained after subnetting. Public IP address is usually owned by Large Scale, corporat. And usually owned by a Large Company in the Field of the Internet, such as hosting, ISP service providers, data center, enterprise Web.

Currently in use in the world is IPv4. IP Address Version 4, came into use in 1981. But since the 1990s has been in the simulated that IPv4 will reach a saturation point or IP addresses in IPv4 will be exhausted. And has been since 1996, IPv6 was developed as a replacement for IPv6. IPv4 uses 32 bits, the number of IPv4 addresses owned by = 232 = ± 4 billion hosts. That means that IPv4 addresses will be exhausted by the time the number of people has reached 4 billion more. Currently, only men have been over 2 billion people, just imagine the population of India, China, Indonesia, the United States and the European Union in the amount that's been mencapari number 3 Billions more. Yet in sum with the other residents. Surely the figure would nearly 4 Billion Soul. This way IPv4 Address already experiencing a saturation point, because the IP addresses are about to run out. Yet coupled with elektroni equipment that uses the IP Address.

And to answer the challenges that began in gembalakan use IPv6. Because IPv6 totaling 128 bits, 2128 or more than 4 billion is definitely no worries about ending IP address for this saaat. Because the number of addresses that IPv6 has enough of 340,282,366,920,938,463,463,374,607,431,768,211,456.
And here are the differences IPv4 and IPv6:

Addressing class

In the class known IPv4 addressing, which consists of 5 classes. Class A, Class B, Class C, Class D and class E. Usually in use by the public in the class A, B, and C, while the Class D and Class E Multicas to experiment. Although sometimes there is mention Class D and E put together.

Being in the IPv6 naming unknown class - a class in their address. But in the known types of IPv6 addressing, Addressing Unicast, Multicast Addressing and Anycast addressing. Unicast addresses are divided into 3 parts, the address link local, site local addresses and global addresses.

Routing

In IPv4, has a slower path in the routing, it checks the header dikareakan MTU in each routing and switching.

While in IPv6, routing process becomes much simpler. In this way the routing process in IPv6 becomes more simple and fast.

Mobile IP

Support for Mobile IPv4, very less. Since IPv4 was not designed to be a mobie. Because it is often erjadi roaming.

While in the car system supports IPv6 in IP design. So no one IPv6 is also known as Mobile IP.

Security

To maintain the security of IPsec IPv4 mengggunakana, sebgai security features. But unfortunately, this feature only as an additional feature.

While in IPv6 IPsec, by default has been used. So, each process will pass IPsec first.
