Android tablets have been often associated with the failure to deliver a premium user experience, where the tablets are the new best-selling when the price has dropped. Casio seems to want to change that trend by announcing Paper Writer V-N500, an Android tablet at the price of ¥ 200,000.

Paper Writer V-N500 is equipped with a 5MP camera that can be used to scan any document or business card can be placed on the tablet casing preformance. Designed as a mobile scanner which generally is very necessary in the business world, this tablet is also able to recognize certain characters (such as foreign currency symbol) and put the texts that can be recognized in a special section.

The tablet can also be arranged to carry out a number of custom actions, for example: if the V-N500 saw a dollar symbol / '$', the tablets will instantly create a calendar entry automatically.

Unfortunately, other specifications for the tablet is relatively standard for a tablet at the moment, such as a 10.1-inch display screen with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels, a dual-core OMAP processor 1.5 GHz, and the Android 4.0 OS.
